Overview

Pharmaceutical sciences combine a wide range of scientific disciplines that are critical for the discovery and development of new drugs and therapies, with the ultimate goal to improve public health and quality of life. Considering this mission, the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Manufacturing, Misr University for Science and Technology welcomes you to the 2nd International Conference of Pharmaceutical Sciences (ICPS-2) “Future Perspectives on Drug Research and Sustainable Development”. The conference will focus on promoting new fields of research in pharmaceutical sciences, as well as future trends in a variety of areas. It will hopefully stimulate cooperation between business and academics. In addition, it will provide the chance to debate and exchange innovative perspectives and ideas. The conference aims to achieve a wide range of goals foremost of which is to provide a comprehensive definition of sustainable development, with a focus on achieving good health and well-being, waste management, quality education, and partnership for the goals of knowledge sharing and cooperation for access to science, technology, and innovation.

We are looking forward to your participation in this unique event, which emphasizes intergenerational continuity and interdisciplinary research.

Poster preparation hints

POSTER PRESENTATION

• All posters of accepted abstracts should be rolled up in the designated area between 1.30
pm – 2.30 pm on July 11
th, 2023, for postgraduates’ presentations and between 1 pm- 2 pm
on July – 12th 2023 for undergraduates presentation, respectively.
• Authors should be available in the designated area 10 minutes before the start of their poster
session and attend the whole poster session to answer questions, elaborate on the content
and take part in discussions and must be wearing the official conference badge.
• Accepted abstracts will be grouped by topic. The author will be notified by the code number
of his poster via e-mail.
• Poster material is restricted to thin glossy colored poster paper or cardboard.
• One certificate will be granted for poster activity participation to the presenter with all
authors’ names written down on the poster.

POSTER PREPARATION GUIDELINES (Postgraduates and undergraduates students):-

• Size of all posters should be A0 (841mm width x 1189mm height).
• The poster should be printed in a portrait layout.
• All texts on the poster should be in the English language.
• At the top center of each poster, you should post a label stating the title, authors, and author
affiliations in large letters. The name of the main presenter should be bold and underlined.
The logo of the conference as well as the poster code number should be inserted on the left
side, while the logo of the institution of the presenter is inserted on the right side.
• The poster should include an introduction, purpose, methods, and results, as well as
illustrations (e.g., figures, tables), conclusions and recommendations, acknowledgments (if
applicable), and references.

• Illustrations and texts should be visible from at least one and a half meters away. A font
size of 36 or larger is recommended. A handwritten copy is not acceptable.
• The poster should be understandable without oral explanation. Crowded posters with too
much information are difficult to read. Try to use white spaces between sections. Make sure
that every item in your poster is necessary.
• The poster must be provided with roll-up support for the presentation.
• The poster for undergraduates should involve the names of the supervision committee
& the department code.
• The poster for postgraduate should contain a QR code indicating author emails.

E-POSTER PREPARATION GUIDELINES:-

• All texts on the poster should be in the English language.
• Size of the E poster: the minimum recommended size (format HxW) is 1225x 2000 pixels,
and the maximum is 2250x 4000 pixels, DPI 300 pixels/ inch.
• Layout: landscape
• The poster should include an introduction, purpose, methods, and results, as well as
illustrations (e.g., figures, tables), conclusions and recommendations, acknowledgments (if
applicable), and references.
• The estimated time for the recorded E-poster presentation should not exceed 3 minutes.
• The recorded presentation must be in MP4 or PPT format.
• The poster must be provided with a QR code indicating the authors’ details (name,
affiliation, email, and mobile no)
