In order to activate the common cooperation protocol, and out of the university keenness to carry out its societal responsibilities towards the community issues and environmental development and

under the patronage of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, ๐— ๐—ฟ. ๐—ž๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—˜๐—น-๐—ง๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ธ๐—ต๐˜†, University President, ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ณ. ๐—”๐˜€๐—ต๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ณ ๐—›๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—š๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฏ welcomed on Sunday, January 22nd, 2023, the President of the Executive Body of the General Authority of Adult Education, Prof. Mohamed Nassef and the accompanying delegation on the university campus, to renew and activate the on-cooperation protocol between the two parties, as well as, to honor and grant certification to the literacy people of the university employees.

Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Sherif Refaat; Assistant Secretary General of the University and Public Relations Director, Major General Dr. Tarek Attia; and Vice Dean of Community Service and Environmental Development of the Faculty of Biotechnology, Prof. Engy Badawy Labib, alongside the Rapporteur of the Community Service Affairs Council at the university and the Protocol Coordinator.

The President of the Executive Body of The General Authority of Adult Education, Prof. Mohamed Nassef, expressed his happiness and gratitude in his speech towards the university efforts in the field of Adult Education. He also accurately pinpointed the exceptional work of The New Republic to undertake poverty, illiteracy and illness, in addition to the many prestigious presidential initiatives that aim to support education needs and attain decent life for the citizens, where the whole world is a witness for their effects. He furthermore, stated the exact roles and effects of these initiatives on citizens’ lives, where they are essentially needed as the world wonโ€™t wait for us to keep up, in the midst of all the technological and cognitive revolutions, so we have to get ahead and defeat time, in order to erase literacy, as the future of any country depends on it.

Furthermore, he assured that illiteracy lies deep where poverty does; so the communication and education strategy should be implanted among generations to reach the learning illiterate, knowing that the society is composed of families and institutions, and if each family plays its role towards its non-educational children; and each institution plays its role towards its illiterate employees as Misr University for Science and Technology has done, Illiteracy would be erased very soon, even though Egypt does not have enough time luxury.

He also talked about the global experiments referring to the Japanese experiment, where community learning centers taught its members different crafts and professions that lead to academic and scientific development that result in the country progress.

In addition, he indicated that the Egyptian universities played an important role in the field of teaching and learning adults; it made the deep waters ran in the illiteracy scale.     

Moreover, University President, ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ณ. ๐—”๐˜€๐—ต๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ณ ๐—›๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—š๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฏ, assured that the university forced both human and financial potentials to contribute in eliminate illiteracy; and the university traces the universal attitudes to achieve Egypt Vision 2030.

Moreover, he stated that those who eliminated their illiteracy, completed his education and obtained a certificate, could make a career shift to a higher level, this might be considered as a grant presented by the university even though such administrative procedures were characterized by some difficulties in other places, while at Misr University for Science and Technology such things were facilitated for the sake of its employees. There were numerous examples inside the university attained their certificates and changed their attitudes and thoughts.

Prof. Haider also stated that the university allocated fully equipped halls for the learners and attained established distinguished teachers, in cooperation with the General Authority of Adult Education, and support this positive improvement. The university did not save any effort for the sake of building the nation and serving its issues.

Referring to this concern, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Sherif Refaat expressed his joy about the efforts the university exerted to serve the community and improve environment; this is considered as the third role of the university equal to that of the Higher education and Scientific Research. Literacy comes over the top of the Egyptian society service and development in cooperation with the General Authority of Adult Education.

He also announced that the university saves financial and nonmaterial motivations to the learners, and to the students who participated in the project, as well.

Assistant Secretary General of the University and Public Relations Director, Major General Dr. Tarek Attia, also emphasized the role of the university and the general authority of adult education towards their major attempts towards development and a literacy free community.

On the same note, Vice Dean of Community Service and Environmental Development, for the Faculty of Biotechnology, and Protocol Coordinator, Prof. Engy Badawy Labib, expressed her satisfaction about the university achievements in the field of literacy and graduating the 32 new graduates of university workers. She also indicated the huge numbers of student from the faculties of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Manufacturing, Oral and Dental Surgery, and Biotechnology to participate in the literacy project.

The meeting was conducted, with the attendance from The General Authority of Adult Education; the Public Relations Director, Prof. Ehab Saead, Protocols Director, Dr. Mona Khalil, Training Director, Dr. Walid Howela, along with, Photographic documentation by Mr. Hisham Faheem, General Branch Manager, Ms. Ghada Adel and from Giza Branch, Mr. Mohamed AbdelRahman. Prof. Mohamed Nassef, ended the meeting with his kind wishes for Misr University for Science and Technology and for its unique and special role, and his warm congratulations to the continuous learners hoping to announce the university free of illiteracy by the end of 2023. In addition, he hoped that the cooperation continues through the wide social participation of the university students and honoring and granting to them certificates that indicates their literacy and exchanging memorial armours.
