About College

The College of Foreign Languages and Translation was established in conjunction with the Presidential Decree No. 245/1996 establishing Misr University for Science and Technology, stemming from the founders awareness of the importance and urgency of the study of foreign languages, especially amidst the rapid technological development in the means of communication and information transfer. From this juncture, the College of Foreign Languages and Translation was inaugurated to accomplish the task of preparing a distinguished translator capable of dealing with the rapid technical evolution through language and multi-purpose laboratories, which provide students with intensive training in simultaneous and consecutive interpretation. Furthermore, through developing the students potential in writing, reading, speaking and literature, the study in the college opens up countless fields for them in the national as well as the regional labor market. In addition, the undergraduate program offered by its multiple departments, the college has introduced postgraduate programs in the English, German and French departments in the fields of literature, linguistics and translation.

The college incorporates eleven scientific departments that grant a Bachelor degree in languages and translation equivalent to the Bachelor degree awarded by the faculties of Arts and Al-Alsun under the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.

Departments

The college of Foreign Languages and Translation incorporates 10 academic departments that grant its graduates a bachelor’s degree in languages and translation. The college departments include the English department, French department, German department, Italian department, Spanish department, Turkish department, Chinese department, Japanese department, Arabic department, and Greek department. Each department is equipped with qualified staff members who have wide expertise in teaching and in the practical field of translation. Our students deepen their knowledge via cutting-edge teaching and learning approaches which equip them with the necessary ethos to pursue a promising career at major domestic and international organizations

Department of English

The Department of English and Translation was the first department to receive students in the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Translation. Studying started in the Department of English started in 1998 to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world. The Department of English grants its students a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Translation, through its three primary branches of knowledge (Linguistics, Literature, and Arabic/English Translation). The faculty offers theoretical and practical courses that inspire and enhance students’ linguistic, creative and research abilities. Furthermore, the courses selected in the department meet and further the goals of sustainability. A student enrolled in the English Language Department must study 141 credit hours, which include university requirements, faculty requirements, and elective courses. The courses taught include language skills courses, literature, linguistics, as well as various courses in written and interpreting translation to and from the Arabic language. In addition to the undergraduate program, the Department of English has started a graduate program in the fields of literature, linguistics, and translation.

Department of French

Studying in the French Language and Translation Department began in 2005. The department grants its students a Bachelor’s degree in French language and translation through the three primary branches of knowledge: (linguistics, literature, and translation of all kinds: specialized, consecutive, and immediate). The faculty offers theoretical and practical courses that inspire and enhance students’ language, creativity and research abilities. A student enrolled in the French section must study 150 credit hours including university requirements, faculty requirements, and elective subjects. The department takes into account the difference in students’ level of French proficiency. Some courses are initially intended for language learning for beginners, and these range from level A1, A2 and B1 according to international standards CECR (Le Cadre Européen Commun de Référence).

In addition to the undergraduate program, the French language program started a postgraduate program in the fields of literature, linguistics, and translation.

– Mastering the French language as a means of communication through listening, speaking, reading and writing courses from a practical and academic perspective.

– Achieving academic and intellectual leadership by graduating students capable of conducting original and academic research.

– Providing students with the educational and research needs necessary to develop innovative endeavors and practices.

– Developing a linguistic, practical and professional understanding of the nature of the translation process and its various fields.

Department of German

The German Language Department is one of the oldest departments of the faculty. Five students joined the department when it was founded, and now the number of students has become more than 1125 students in the four academic classes. In addition, the department teaches German as a second foreign language to students of the other departments of the Faculty of Languages and Translation and the departments of the Faculty of Archeology and Tourist Guidance; so it is the largest department of the faculty and one of the oldest departments in private and public universities in Egypt. These include (language skills, translation, German literature, and linguistics). The department contributes to graduating cadres capable of working in various fields within society. The German language program seeks to prepare a distinguished graduate who is qualified to compete in the labor market and to contribute effectively in the fields of scientific research via positive interaction with the various societal parties.

The advantages of the educational service provided by the German Language and Translation Department can be summarized in the following points:

– Teaching in the department relies on books and references that conform to the standards of the general European frame of reference, and textbooks are updated continuously, to ensure a distinguished level for the student and to cope with modern teaching requirements.

– As part of its continuous endeavor to develop the educational process, the department was keen to include e-learning within its teaching and learning strategy, since 2019.

– The department seeks to strengthen its relations with the official institutions of German-speaking countries, such as the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the cultural counselor of the German and Austrian embassies, and the German Cultural Center. The number of students of the department who have received grants from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) during the past ten years has exceeded 30 students.

– The department organizes free training courses to develop language skills for its students during the summer vacation.

– The department organizes cultural events and training workshops in the fields of teaching the German language and computer translation, as well as organizing an open day for students and graduates in cooperation with the concerned community parties.

– Within the framework of the faculty and the department’s pursuit of scientific leadership in various research activities, postgraduate studies started in the department to study a Master’s degree, starting from the academic year 2021/2022, after the ministerial decision was issued on June, 13^th, 2021 to start studies at the Master’s level in the Faculty of Languages and Translation, with the credit hours system. Credit Hours System (CHS) with courses that cope with the challenges of the current period in education and scientific research, where a Master’s degree is awarded in the following majors: linguistics, literature, and translation.

The Master’s study aims to develop research capabilities and scientific thinking in the field of German language specialization that the student chooses according to the research plan of the department and faculty, through the use of modern scientific techniques and methods when studying obligatory and elective academic courses, to prepare a sound scientific thesis supervised by professors specialized in the field chosen by the student.

Objectives of the German Language and Translation Program:

Preparing cadres who are fluent in the German language in terms of reading, writing, and speaking and who are also qualified to meet the needs of society and the labor market.
Refining the graduate’s linguistic and communicative skills using modern technical means.
Developing skills in the fields of language, literature, and translation.
Becoming familiar with aspects of German civilization, its most prominent figures, and their influence at the local and international levels.
Equipping the graduate with various translation skills to fulfill the needs of the local and regional labor markets.
Enabling the graduate to conduct scientific research and think critically and creatively.
Contributing to the advancement of the translation movement and cultural communication between Arab civilization and the civilization of German-speaking countries.
Effectively participating in different cultural projects to serve the purposes of sustainable development in society.

German Language and Translation Program Mission:

The program of German Language and Translation at the College of Foreign Languages and Translation, Misr University for Science and Technology, is committed to preparing a distinguished graduate in the fields of language, literature, and translation who is qualified to compete in the labor market and contribute effectively to scientific research, cultural communication, and community service.

Quality Assurance and Accreditation:

Department of Spanish

The mission of the Spanish language program is to prepare the student and qualify him linguistically, cognitively and skillfully through his study of the literature and linguistics of the Spanish language, as well as the various translation sciences to qualify him for the needs of the labor market in the various fields of translation, allowing him to invest his personal skills in the areas of creative criticism. The department also seeks to create a scientific and academic climate characterized by flexibility, broad-mindedness, and the ability to develop oneself through dealing with other departments in the faculty, and establishing the principle of lifelong learning.

The department was established in 2011 with 33 students, then the number of its students increased until the number it has now reached 236 students.

Spanish is the official language in Spain and the countries of Latin America.
Spanish is the second language in the world in terms of the number of speakers.

– Spanish is also spoken by quite a few in the United States of America, Asia and Africa.

– Spanish is a musical language that is easy to learn and pronounce, and it also contains a huge vocabulary of Arabic origin.

– Spanish Department provides its students with Spanish textbooks and Spanish language experts.

-Spanish is one of the most important languages used in international conferences and forums.

– Spanish provides those who learn it with many job opportunities inside and outside Egypt, in many fields such as: teaching, tourism, translation, communications, journalism, and media.

Department of Italian

The Department of Italian Language and Translation was established in 2008. The department has a rich cultural curriculum that provides students with the opportunity to learn Italian language, translation and literature. The department vision is to have a leading role in advancing knowledge of the Italian language and culture. The department also strive to become a center of excellence in teaching and research in the Italian language, literature, culture, and translation. The department goals and objectives are designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of Italian language, translation, and literature. A student enrolled in the Italian language department must pass 150 credit hours, including university requirements, faculty requirements, and elective courses.

The Italian language program seeks to:

– Proficiency in the Italian language.

– Encouraging active participation in class discussions.

– Incorporating elements of Italian culture and history into current language curricula.

– Contributing effectively to developmental and cultural initiatives to serve the community by providing some courses that serve the goals of sustainable development.

– Developing students’ participation in creative and critical thinking.

– Encouraging students to use digital technologies in their studies, especially in translation courses.

Department of Japanese

The establishment of the department and fields of work:

The Japanese Language Department was established in 2005. Cadres graduated from the department in various fields of work related to Japan and the Japanese language, whether inside or outside Egypt. Where many of the department’s graduates work in the fields of Japanese trade and industry companies that own factories and companies in Egypt. Many graduates also work in the fields of translation, tourism, journalism, editing, and various Japanese institutions, whether in Egypt or Japan. The department helps its students and graduates to enroll in Japanese universities, whether through short direct grants (for two months) or long one (for a year), at the expense of the Japanese Ministry of Education. The department also addresses various Japanese universities such as Keio University, Toyo University, and others in order to provide scholarships for students of the department who apply directly to them through the pages of these universities. The Japanese language department is taught by a group of professors in addition to Japanese experts. The department also organizes meetings, seminars, and symposiums in order to benefit students and link them to the main source of the Japanese language, in cooperation with Japanese universities such as: the ancient Kyoto University, Keio University, Toyo University, and famous Japanese research centers such as the International Center for Japanese Studies, the Language Center, and the National Museum of Japanese History Center.

Department of Chinese

The mission of the Chinese language and translation program is to prepare the student and qualify him linguistically, cognitively and skillfully through his study of the literature of the Chinese language and its linguistic features, as well as the various translation sciences that qualify him for the needs of the labor market in the various fields of translation, allowing him to invest his personal skills in the areas of creative criticism. The department also seeks to create a scientific and academic climate that is characterized by flexibility, broad-mindedness, and the ability to develop oneself through dealing with other departments in the faculty and establishing the principle of lifelong learning.
The Chinese language is one of the most important languages in the world due to the great importance of China, its civilization, its culture and its control over the world economy. Misr University for Science and Technology is also the first among the private universities that opened a department for teaching the Chinese language, as it was established in 2006 and graduated its first class in 2010.
The department consists of a group of Chinese language professors who specialize in the fields of language, translation and literature from the universities of Cairo and Ain Shams, in addition to foreign experts who are delegated every year by the department from China.
The Chinese Language Department aims to graduate students who are fully proficient in the Chinese language and literature, and provide the student with the linguistic competence necessary to work in various fields and prepare specialists in the Chinese language, translation and literature, while enabling the student to understand and interact with Chinese culture and exchange knowledge between Arab and Chinese cultures.
The student studies 150 academic hours between specialized subjects, faculty requirements, and university requirements.

Advantages of joining the Chinese Language Department:

Multiple fields of work with the Chinese language, including: (translation – tourist guidance – teaching – fields of marketing, publicity and advertising – the field of trade, import and export – in addition to scholarships in China).
The department offers scholarships every year for its students to study in China for a semester or an academic year, through agreements contracted with Chinese universities such as Hebey University of Science and Technology. Also, the department receives scholarships from the Chinese government every year. This is due to the excellence of his students.
Every year, the department students from different classes participate in the activities organized by the Chinese Cultural Center or the Confucius Institute at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University. Participation in these activities is a necessary and obligatory matter imposed by the department on the student to raise the linguistic and cultural level through dealing with other students from other universities.

Department of Turkish

The study began in the Turkish language department in 2012/2013. The department grants its students a Bachelor’s degree in languages and translation (specializing in Turkish language and translation). Obtaining the academic degree requires the student to complete 141 credit hours, which include the basic department courses, university requirements courses, and faculty requirements courses. This is in addition to field training that contributes to the development of students’ professional skills, and provides them with practical experiences that qualify the student for the various requirements of the labor market in different fields. Successful completion of the field training period is a condition for graduation from the faculty.

The Turkish language and translation program at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Translation at Misr University for Science and Technology qualifies the student linguistically, cognitively, and skillfully through his study of the Turkish language, translation, and literature, allowing him to prepare systematic scientific research, self-learning, and dealing with the labor market that serves the local community, preserves cultural identity, and contributes to building a civilized personality that evaluates the elements of dialogue with other cultures.

Program Goals:

– Proficiency in the Turkish language in reading, writing, speaking and listening on an academic scientific basis to develop linguistic and professional skills for the translation process.

– Graduating students who are capable of preparing academic scientific research using technology and computers.

– Effective communication and building bridges of dialogue with the Turkish culture and clarifying the specificity of the national identity while being proud of the Arab identity and respecting the other opinion.

– Acquisition of practical and scientific skills necessary for the labor market, and effective contribution to developmental and cultural initiatives to serve the community.

– Active participation in various civilized projects to serve the purposes of sustainable development.

Department of Greek

In recent years, Egypt has tended to increase cooperation with the countries of the Mediterranean basin, especially the Republic of Greece and Cyprus, in various political, economic and cultural fields. Where Egypt and Greece have historical and civilized relations since the Pharaonic times, especially in the Greek and Roman eras, to the extent that the Greek language remained the official language of Egypt for a thousand years, since the third century BC until the seventh century AD. And since most of the languages of all the countries bordering the Mediterranean have been taught for a long time in Egyptian universities, whether governmental or private, on a large scale, except for the modern Greek language, which is considered a rare specialty and taught on a very narrow scale, to a degree that is not sufficient for the requirements of the new labor market. Therefore, Misr University for Science and Technology decided to establish the Department of Modern Greek Language at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Translation in 2016 to qualify the student to work in many different fields, including: translation, journalism, and media, as well as work in the Greek Embassy, and Greek companies operating in the field of investment in Egypt, which are multiplying day after day. Thus, Misr University for Science and Technology is distinguished as the first private university to establish a department for the study of the modern Greek language to keep up with the requirements of Egypt political and economical attitudes and the needs of the labor market in the modern era.

The department also seeks to create a scientific and academic climate characterized by flexibility and the ability to develop oneself through dealing with other departments in the faculty and establishing the principle of lifelong learning. One of the students of the department won the first place in the competition of the Ministry of Culture and the National Council for Translation for young translators under the age of 35 for the best text translated from Greek into Arabic in the field of humanities at the Republic level in 2021.

The department also works to sign scientific and cultural agreements with Greek and Cypriot universities to obtain scholarships. So that students can travel and complete Master’s and Doctoral studies in those universities.

Department of Arabic

Vision:

The Department of Arabic Language seeks to keep up with the latest global developments in the fields of Arabic language and literature to develop the student’s research skills and prepare a distinguished scientific personality capable of following developments in scientific specialization and sustainable education in rapidly changing life circumstances and facing contemporary problems in a distinguished scientific manner.

Mission:

The mission of the Arabic Language and Literature Program is to prepare the student and qualify him linguistically, cognitively, and skillfully through his study of the Arabic language and its literature. This allows him to invest his personal skills to meet the needs of the labor market in the fields of: teaching, media, proofreading, heritage investigation, and tourism. The department also seeks to create a scientific and academic climate that is characterized by flexibility, broad-mindedness, and the ability to develop oneself, by dealing with other departments in the faculty, and establishing the principle of lifelong learning.

Introduction to the Department of Arabic Language:

The decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the President of the Supreme Council of Universities was issued on the first of February, 2016, which stipulates the equivalence of a Bachelor’s degree in languages and translation in the Arabic language and literature major granted by Misr University for Science and Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts (Arabic language and literature) granted by Egyptian universities.

Among the advantages of this department is that it allows the student to study a minor foreign language (English, French, German, Italian). Studying in the Arabic Language Department is in the form of comprehensive and consistent packages as follows: rhetoric, literary criticism, studying the two branches of literature (heritage and contemprary), comparative literature, language sciences and grammar, Oriental languages (Hebrew and Persian), and Islamic studies.

Department of Russian

The department was established in 2022, and the department is the first ever in all private universities in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Russian language is the most widespread language in the world, as it is spoken by more than 300 million people, either as the mother tongue or the second language, as it is spread in 15 countries, which are the countries of the former Soviet Union, in addition to many other countries in the continents of Asia and Europe. It is one of the six official languages of the United Nations.

The study in the department aims to develop and master the various language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. There are various courses that include teaching literature, language culture, grammar, essays, readings, and conversations.

Translation occupies the most prominent place among the academic curricula, where all types of translation are taught: political, economic, legal, scientific, touristic, archaeological, and literary.

The department aims to prepare a graduate who is able to work in all fields in the Russian language, including: tour guidance, call centers, customer service, and various translation companies, as the Russian Federation has strong relations and many projects with the Egyptian state, on top of which is the Dabaa nuclear project, and the new industrial zone in Suez. Graduates can also join the academic corps and obtain Master’s and Doctoral degrees.

The department seeks to strengthen relations with Russian cultural institutions in Egypt, especially the Russian cultural centers.

The department includes elite faculty members from the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University: Prof. Mohamed Nasr El-Din El-Gabaly, Head of the Department at the Faculty, Head of the Russian Language Department at Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, the former Egyptian Cultural Adviser in the Federal Russia, and Prof. Dina Mohamed Abdo, Professor of the Russian Language at the Faculty of Al Alsun, Ain Shams Universty.

The mission of the College of Foreign Languages and Translation at Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) is to prepare graduates who are qualified linguistically, cognitively, and skillfully through their studies in the branches of language, translation, and literature, which enable them to join various labour market sectors, including translation, education, tourism, and media. The college mission furthermore incorporates scientific research to prepare cadres capable of exceeding academic standards in language, translation, and literature. These objectives are achieved through recruiting and training experienced academic staff competent in utilizing technology in the educational process and guided by an effective academic administration determined to reach out to the community, preserve and enrich cultural identity, and constructively establish intercultural dialogues

Dear students

Being deeply aware of the essential need for competent graduates in the field of foreign languages and translation, the founders of MUST inaugurated a B.A. program offered by the College of Foreign Languages and Translation, since the establishment of the university. The mission of the College of Languages and Translation is to prepare graduates who are qualified linguistically, cognitively and skillfully through their studies in the fields of language, translation and literature; the factors that enable them to join various labour market sectors including translation, teaching, tourism and media.

The College of Foreign Languages and Translation incorporates 11 academic departments: English Department, French Department, German Department, Italian Department, Spanish Department, Turkish Department, Chinese Department, Japanese Department, Arabic Department, Greek Department and Russian Department. This is in addition to the Persian language taught as a second language in both Arabic and Turkish Departments, as well as the Hebrew language taught as a second language in the Arabic Department. Each department is equipped with qualified staff members who have wide expertise in teaching and in the practical field of translation. Besides the undergraduate program, the college has inaugurated postgraduate programs in the English, German and French Departments in the fields of literature, linguistics and translation.

The various college departments offer a variety of activities that serve the community as well as interdisciplinary scholarships that develop innovative models for the study and assimilation of languages, literature, and translation. System of Education

The educational programs in the college use a credit-hour system. The academic year is divided into three semesters: Fall (sixteen weeks), Spring (sixteen weeks) and Summer (eight weeks) including examinations. The credit-hour system is used to measure the number of credit hours that each student should complete prior to graduation. Each credit hour represents one hour of a weekly theoretical lecture or two hours of practice. The credit hours of each course appear in the study plans of each department.

Students enrolled in the College of Foreign Languages and Translation must successfully pass a total of 150 credit hours including university requirements, electives, faculty requirements, and specialization requirements. The courses taught comprise language skill courses, literature, and linguistics courses, as well as miscellaneous written and oral translation courses from into Arabic.

Academic Programs and Job Market

The college addresses the demands of the job market through expanding the courses and programs which promote students’ written and oral communication skills. Also, it prepares students to become specialized in both translation and interpretation fields. Graduates are also qualified to join the field of language instruction, content creation, copy-writing and other fields that depend on excelling in various languages.

Learning Strategies

The college adopts various learning strategies that match the nature of each program and course such as active and cooperative learning strategies. The college also uses research projects, presentations, and group discussions to encourage the use of modern technologies. For this purpose, the college provides learning facilities such as libraries, language labs, and available internet services. Besides, the college also endorses an e-learning system that facilitates the education process.

Community Service and Environmental Development

The Sector of Community Service and Environmental Development is considered the mirror of the faculty that reflects its image to the surrounding community. The mission of the sector stems from the university mission to contribute effectively to achieve social development; therefore, the faculty works to employ its human potential to serve the community, including the faculty community, and the university community, then the external community.

Strategic Objectives

To achieve the faculty mission, the Sector of Community Service and Environmental Development aims to serve the community and improve the environment through:

– Developing the community role of the faculty as one of the important institutions in the field of languages, translation and literature by contributing to the process of intellectual enlightenment of the society.

– Providing appropriate conditions for the students and following up the graduates to acquire knowledge and skills related to the labor market.

– Investing human personnel in the academic departments to contribute to serve the community through their effective role.

– Contributing in solving social problems in the Egyptian society, especially the problems of young people and the development of their skills.

In order to implement these objectives, the Sector

– Conducts an awareness program on community service and environmental development activities for the faculty members and their assistants, students, employees, and community parties.

– Holds a cultural season represented in a number of seminars carried out by one of the faculty departments, or by more than one department so each one of them has its role in the seminars during the academic year.

– Cooperates with scientific centers and publishing houses specialized in publishing books and references for languages and translation to hold exhibitions in the university such as National Center for Translation, Longan and others.

– Follows-up graduates, helps them to find a good place in the labor market, and benefits from them after graduation.

– Contracts and activates various agreements held between the departments and other parties.

Postgraduates Studies and Scientific Research

Promoting scientific research is one of the faculty missions as it complements the educational process and contributes to its development, either directly or indirectly to elevate it. First, scientific research creates communication channels among researchers, nationally, regionally and globally. Moreover, it reinforces the bonds between the university and the society when its outcomes are employed in all aspects of life; as well as, it promotes the faculty and university academic rank both nationally and internationally. These objectives can be achieved if scientific research in faculty and university programs is based on a scheduled and comprehensive research plan that includes a variety of disciplines in the context of enhancing interdisciplinary studies among the various majors of both the faculty and the university.

The Sector of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, in the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Translation is keen to foster competitive and international cooperation by instilling values such as the sense of belonging to the university, research independence, and scientific and ethical commitment based on a clear methodology. Such methodology cares about preparing scientific environment that motivates innovation to support researchers and invest creative, knowledgeable and scientific production to face the current and coming challenges to get the benefits from scientific and research potentials to support sustainable plans of development within the state national strategies for science and technology by 2030 in order to raise the standards of Egyptian society.

The role of the Postgraduate Studies in the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Translation is to transfer the foreign cultures to our Arabic one and transfer our Arabic culture to the other foreign cultures represented in the faculty. The faculty offers a Master degree in the German, English and French language programs in literature, linguistics, and translation majors. Studying these majors represents a cornerstone in knowing more about other peoples, learning and studying their languages, and thus achieving cultural communication and integration.

One of the major requirements of these postgraduate studies programs is submitting scientific theses and research papers that conform to the modern society and fulfil its needs for cultural, economical, political and intellectual knowledge and for all human aspects, as well. Thus, there lies the significance of human studies that opens the horizons before people to understand, create and innovate.

Mission

Postgraduate Studies Sector in the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Translation, Misr University for Science and Technology seeks to improve the creative and scientific skills which enrich either individual or collective scientific research, to enable the researchers to participate in producing knowledge for the sake of society sustainable development and to build bridges of communication with other cultures which get along with the period requirements.

The Sector of Education and Students Affairs

The Sector of Education and Students Affairs, headed by the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, is responsible for all issues related to the student in terms of academic aspects and student activities since the students’ enrollment in faculty until graduation.

The activities and tasks of the Sector of Education and Students Affairs include:

-Receiving new students and distributing them to the faculty departments.

-Helping students choose the appropriate specialization.

-Working on students awareness of the university rules and regulations.

-Preparing and reviewing academic regulations in competence with the constant changes and requirements of the labor market.

– Educating students about academic guidance.

– Approving academic schedules and supervising the implementation of study plans.

-Supervising various student activities.

– Developing students’ skills.

– Working on providing various equipment needed for the educational process.

– Providing the appropriate environment for educational achievement and practical training in the faculty.

– Supervising the elections of Students Union in the faculty.

The College of Foreign Languages and Translation was established in 1998 to prepare its students, through instructional courses of theory and practice, to be distinctive and competent translators who can cope with the rapid technological developments.
